About The School

Vimala Hridaya Special School is a co-education, English medium, senior secondary school, affiliated with ICSE and located at Pazhayattinkuzhi, Kollam, Kerala. It believes in overall development of the students by balancing academics, extra curricular activities, sports in the state of art infrastructure within the campus. The school offers playgrounds for cricket, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton and other sports. The admission process for this School starts every year in the month of May and School starts in July.

We Are on a Mission

The special mission and vision of our school is to create employment and employment opportunities. The trade, that is taught must be useful and must enable individuals to earn their livelihood. No one should be rejected from their own houses or from the society. So we prepare them to stand on their own. Because, the parents of most of the handicapped children are worried much about the future of their children. They will feel happy only when they come to know that there is an institution of their own, to work and to earn. So that they could remain with their relatives and dear ones and at the same time, work with them.

Mental retardation is a global programme today. The most neglected group in society today is the disabled. They are the ones who could not seek for their own rights. We are trying to help this young generation to get their fundamental rights.

We, Vimala Hridaya Mentally Handicapped Centre, love the disabled children and rend our services and spend our life and energy for them. You, the society, and the nation, could recognize and render your service to get their rights for them. Instead of cursing the darkness let us light a candle. Let them walk in that spiritual light with their legs neither faltering nor shivering.
